In line with the mandate of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to expand access to Coding education for Lagos residents through the CodeLagos initiative, the CodeLagos Out-of-School programme has commenced a new training session on Monday November 12, 2018. This is the session is 5th session of the programme.
6,950 individuals have been accepted into the programme this Session, which now runs in 30 centres across the State. Centres are located in Yaba, Onikan, Ilupeju, Ipaja, Meiran, Isolo, Epe, Apapa, Oshodi, Ikorodu, Okota, Ajao Estate, Ojo, Ilupeju, Mushin, Aguda, Awoyaya, Gbagada, Ebutte Metta, Iwaya, Lekki, Obanikoro, Ikeja, Ikotun, Ajah.
In a related development, Lagosians are also invited to sign up for the CodeLagos Online Academy. The online Academy set up in partnership with Gidimo is accessible on the portal www.codelagos.gidimo.com is free and allows participants to complete the course at their own pace. Upon completion of the online course, successful participants will be included in the CodeLagos Online Community where they will have access to resources, as well as more trainings and work opportunities.
