The CodeLagos Out-Of-School (OOS) Programme Batch 4 ended on Thursday 13th Of September 2018! The 6-week training indeed produced new entries into the software programmers’ community.
The FREE coding classes which kicked off on Monday 6th August 2018 had 2,700 participants in the 21 centres across Lagos complete their respective coding course.
CodeLagos OOS – 4th Batch had classes on Python Programming, Java, BlockChain technology and Web Development which are highly sought-after digital skills. Classes took place every day of the week except Fridays, across 21 centres in Apapa, Ikeja, Meiran, Ipaja, Lekki, Ajah, Epe, Yaba, Ikorodu, Onikan, Oshodi, Surulere, Ilupeju and Isolo with some locations having multiple centres. We also had weekend classes in some of the Coding centres in Lekki.
CodeLagos Participants were trained in the basics of Java including: Control Statements, Polymorphism, Arrays and Functions. While the students in the Python class were taught how to create: Loops, Multi-threading and CGI Programming.
It was really interesting to see what CodeLagos participants came up with as they presented their respective projects applying the training received to creating applications intended of solve problems they have identified around them.
The participants are very delighted and have shown their gratitude for the knowledge they have acquired during the CodeLagos Out-Of-School Programme.
